Town Council Special Meeting

Minutes
 
Present: Chairperson Melissa Engel, Vice Chairman Thomas Cordeiro and members, Christopher Goff and Susan Weintraub. Also present were Acting Town Manager, Robert Drewry, Ted Hintz, Barbara Moore, George Pfaffenbach, Judith Golden, Chuck Stickler and members of the public.

Not present:  William Devine, Scott Minnick and John Tuttle.

Chairperson Engel called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.  

Board of Finance Chairman, Ted Hintz, gave an overview of the Board of Finance proposed budget to the Town Council with regard to the reductions to the Town Manager’s proposed budget.

Superintendent of Schools, Judith Golden, gave an overview of the Board of Education budget.

A motion was made by Mr. Goff, seconded by Mr. Cordeiro, to move Item 4 – Public Remarks to Item 3.  Voted (4-0).

Chuck Stickler questioned why money was moved from the Fire Department budget to Capital Improvement.

Kyle Dostaler discussed the Fire Department cuts as well as the Lake Commission.

Council person Susan Weintraub discussed a request from Joanne Ewing regarding funding for a part time employee.

A motion was made by Mr. Cordeiro, seconded by Mr. Goff, to adjourn the meeting at 6:55 p.m.  Voted (4-0).
